It's been a busy summer here in the Quilting Studio. Numerous quilts have been cut, sewn and assembled for our charities and Bonanza which is coming up Nov 1-2. I'd like to thank Babs Swartz, Donna Karbach, Deb Stewart and Ruth Naomi Buck for stepping up to the plate and teaching at our Thursday Friendship groups. And Nancy Allen for trying to keep up with all the quilting! Thursdays have become a hive of productivity and fun this year and we invite you to join us in the studio if you haven't already. All skill levels are welcome! Next week on September 11 we'll be making the Square Scramble Table Runner and coordinating Placemats. If you are interested in this quick and easy project please call or text Mary Crompton at 949 325-5703 or just show up! These projects will be sold at the upcoming Bonanza and you will be able to pick your own fabric from the quilt studio.
Speaking of Bonanza, I will be passing around a sign-up sheet at the General meeting on Sept 10th to volunteer at Bonanza. We need volunteers to help set up, tear down and work the show. If you can't make the meeting but want to offer your time, please call Mary Crompton at 949 325-5703 or you can email me president@crazyquiltersuild.org. All people who are selling their wares are required to work a 2-hour shift.

A PRE-CUTS CHART
Happy September 2025, fall is on its way.
This month I want to provide you with a chart listing the various sizes and types of pre-cut fabric. Recently, in the CH4 quilt room, we received some rolls of 5 inch strips and some of us were discussing various pre-cuts and wondered if these 5 inch strips had a name. Well, they do, they are called dessert rolls. I did not know that 5 and 6 inch strips had this distinct pre-cut category. This discussion inspired me to create a chart featuring all the pre-cuts I know including: title, measurements, typical quantity, and who manufactures that particular pre-cut. The chart is attached and if you want, you can print it out for your reference.
