December 2025
Crazy Quilters Philanthropy for 2025

Philanthropy is a big part of the vision and mission of the Crazy Quilters. Every year we donate quilts to a variety of organizations. This year we have donated quilts to the following organizations: Memorial Care Infusion Center for Chemo patients - 21, Memorial Care NICU - 35, Memorial Care Newborn - 25, Orangewood Family Center - 61, Veterans - 9, OC Rescue Mission - 32, Laguna Woods Fire Station - 1, and Pregnancy Resource Center - 28 plus 57 Burp Cloths. In 2025 we donated 212 quilts and 57 Burp Cloths!

At this time, we have 141 placemats, 1 table runner with 2 placemats set, and 2 table toppers ready to be delivered to the Florence Sylvester Senior Center for Meals on Wheels and 133 pillowcases for CASA Foster Care. If you have pillowcases or placemats you have been working on at home, please get them to the quilt studio as soon as you can so we can include them in the deliveries this coming week.

Thanks to Betty Khzouz, David Cavanaugh, Gail Licata, Shari Riter, Karen Sweet, Mary Crompton, Caryn Puma, Donna Karbach, Ruth Naomi Buck and Joy Kerr for your help with delivering the quilts. And speaking of delivering the quilts, we are ALWAYS looking for VOLUNTEERS to deliver finished quilts and projects to various organizations. If you haven’t volunteered this year, this is a quick way to do your part in making this guild the best it can be, without making a huge commitment. Please contact Joy Kerr if you can help out.
